Position Summary

The Manager of Education Programs is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing workforce development initiatives with a strong emphasis on online learning through Learning Management Systems (LMS). This position will lead program development efforts, curriculum design, LMS integration, partner collaboration, and program evaluation to close skill gaps and meet the evolving workforce needs in industries such as cybersecurity and advanced manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage workforce development programs tailored to industry needs.
  • Implement and maintain Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support online, self-paced, and hybrid learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design innovative curriculum and educational content.
  • Coordinate and partner with educational institutions, community organizations, and businesses to deliver impactful training.
  • Manage program budgets, identify funding opportunities, and secure grants or sponsorships.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and refine workforce programs based on performance data and market trends.
  • Lead and mentor staff responsible for eLearning content creation and LMS management.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting to assess program effectiveness.
  • Utilize project management and change management principles in program delivery.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of workforce development practices and eLearning principles.
  • Proficient with LMS platforms and online education tools.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience managing projects, budgets, and program assessments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing, or STEM education is desirable

Experience & Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Education Technology, Information Technology or a related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and managing workforce training or education programs.
  • Experience with LMS platforms and online learning content development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supervising teams.

Preferred Experience & Education

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working in advanced manufacturing, cybersecurity, or engineering industries.
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360 or similar eLearning content creation platforms.
  • Experience working with public-private partnerships and/or research institutions.
  • Knowledge of project management and change management methodologies

Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Sedentary/stationary position. Must be able to remain in stationary position for prolonged periods (up to 90% of time) with occasional movement around office environment
  • Frequent computer use, including extended screen viewing (at least 90% of time), repetitive keyboard use, and some phone activity
  • Hybrid work model requires work onsite and optional remote work
