SMART USA Welcomes Richard Ho to the Board of Directors
SMART USA is thrilled to announce Richard Ho has joined its Board of Directors. A seasoned hardware leader at OpenAI, Richard brings deep experience in building custom compute for AI at scale and co‑designing infrastructure alongside the models it powers. His career includes pivotal contributions to multiple generations of Google’s TPU accelerators, work on the Anton molecular‑dynamics supercomputers recognized by the ACM Gordon Bell Prize, and the co‑founding of 0‑In Design Automation—an influential verification company later acquired by Mentor Graphics/Siemens. Richard earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford, following earlier degrees in microelectronic systems engineering from the University of Manchester.
